Managed Suggest

In the QSC the suggests are automatically computed based on the indexed data and the historical user behaviour. Queries that are frequently used in the past, are good candidates for suggest. Sometimes it makes sense to define suggests proactively. For example, if a new product is launched, for that no historical user behaviour data is available.

For this use case the suggest can be managed in a generic list in the qsc.

  • 1.) word - the suggest (required)
  • 2.) weight - a value between 0 - 100 for scoring - default: 50 (optional)
  • 3.) start - a start date to automatically show the managed suggest from the defined start date (optional)
    • pattern: yyyy-MM-dd
    • default: sometime in the past
  • 4.) end - an end date to automatically remove the suggest
    • pattern: yyyy-MM-dd
    • default: sometime in the future

Update Interval

  • the managed suggests are updated every night in the suggest feeding
  • a change is just visible at the next day
  • for urgent cases the suggest feeding can be triggered manually
